During the 1980s and 1990s Bogey Racing, in common with Raft Racing
was a popular event during Gala Week.
In more recent years it is likely that such events have not taken place because of safety issues.
The races started at the Town Clock and ended near the Community Centre.
We believe all of these photo were probably taken in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
